Why Support Us?

As an Alamak Operator you get full access to all of our services and special commands. The list of commands and services has gotten quite long but to name the most popular you get CMAIL, WAIT, CyberMyst, freedom from the popup and banner advertising, ability to bypass address bans, access when our system is otherwise full, full use of color, ablity to grant one other user color, special cute icons to use in chat and private messages, and all the Ops commands. See /help in the chat to get an idea of just how many special command you get access to. You also get help from the committee when you have problems by using the /com and /abuse commands.

Alamak has more users than ever and hence our expenses are at an all time high. Recently due to abortive competition tactics and Alamak giving away more privledges there fewer Ops signups and hence insufficient funds to meet operating costs. Every few months we put out a notice that we are in need of help, but as soon as such notices go down we again fall behind in our payments.

To cut it straight to the point, Alamak has never pulled a profit and it's highly doubtful that it ever will. Many users on Alamak accuse us of being greedy but the fact of the matter is it isn't true. In 1999 Alamak lost money and had to be supported by personal funds which are now exhaused. We have continuing costs to pay employees as well as large upcomming bills for network services and taxes.

Signup by Mail

If you are not using Credit Card please make sure you GET A REFERENCE NUMBER and include the reference number and nickname clearly written on a piece of paper, check, or money order.

For RENEWALS and NEW ACCOUNTS with other cards use Credit Card Operator Application (Discover and American Express).

To reduce fraud, these applications are checked manually at time of billing, and we may choose to reduce the amount billed on new accounts for our own protection.

Alamak Credit Card Rebilling Options allows you to reset your rebilling options (to with or without rebilling) at any time.

Payment

Types of payment methods :  Cash / Cheque / Money Order / Credit card

Operator membership is between US $7 and US $8 per month or the local equivalent. The per-month price decreases as the number of months you purchase increases, with a minimum of 4 months.

Special Locations for Payment

If you are in one of the following locations you can make payment through a local Alamak representative or office.

Cash Payment

If you wish to make cash payment the best way is to go to one of our local representatives and pay in person.

We do not suggest that you send cash through the mail but realise may be cheaper and easier for many of you.

Make sure you send local currency equivalent to the US dollar amount. We will add time to your account based on the exchange rate when we convert your payment. In Singapore we use a money changer rather than the bank to get slightly better rates. We may add less time to your account depending on the exchange rate.

The Singapore office WILL ACCEPT CASH (foreign currency) but WILL NOT ACCEPT NON-SG DOLLAR CHEQUES. The Australian and Canadian offices also will not accept foreign currency cheques or money orders.

Fill out the Mail Operator Application.

We can not guarentee payments made by cash will make it safely through the mail but if recieved we will add the account. Please send the payment to either the US, Singapore, or Australian office along with a piece of paper with the REFERENCE NUMBER AND NICK WRITTEN CLEARLY. We suggest if you must send cash, wrap it in a thick piece of paper with print on it to make the contents less visible through the envelope.

Again, we can not do any thing for payments we do not recieve and are not responsible for lost mail.

We do not process the mail applications until we receive payment and this is entirely dependent on the mail system. Please allow 1-4 weeks for renewals or account activation.

Non-US users can try International Money Order for an amount equivalent to $30 US dollars.

Disclaimer

Pricing is subject to change without notice. Abuse of Operator privledges can result in complaints from regular users and upon recommendation by the Operator Committee Operator account can be suspended or removed. Alamak reserves the right to remove Operators from the list for any reason without refund!
