The freehome server provides many services to Alamak chatters and is accessible from
within the chat or can be used seperately. The name is abit misleading because it does
alot more than provide freehome pages, in fact most people like and use the other
features like AddressBook, Wait, CMAIL, and Search much more!
CMAIL
This is a full featured CHAT MAIL. You can read, send, delete
individual CMAIL ( something you can't do within the chat ), or flush
the whole list. Once you get a CMAIL you can add that persons Alamak ID
to your AddressBook and Wait List. You can also send and read CMAIL
within the chat, and links are provided there to access back in to FreeHome.
AddressBook
This is a list of all your friends you may wish to contact. It include links
to CMAIL other chatters on Alamak, add them to your Wait List,
send them an email, view their personals information.
Wait List Management
This will show your current list of people you wait for on Alamak, and in a seperate
autorefreshing frame, a list of those currently on any of the servers, with the exception
that USA server group and SG waits are seperate. You can easily add, delete, search, send
CMAIL or add to AddressBook from the Wait List.
Search
You can search for registered users or, Operators by nickname, or you if you know an
email address already, you can find the matching nick. You can not retrieve any
information you don't already have by this kind of search, meaning you can't get an
email address or real name by doing a nickname search, but you can search out the
nickname with such information.
Free Home Pages
You can setup a free homepage on Alamak, and either upload to your personal
freehome directory, or edit your pages online using a web form. You can also
retrieve things off the net to add to your homepage without getting it directly,
instead it can be transfered directly to your freehome directory.
Personals Service
Those who choose to use the personals service, enter personals information, which
can be viewed by a simple click.
